Training
Training Schedule
Location:All group 2 and group 3 lessons take place in the Ottenbach indoor pool Chappelistein.
Structure and OverviewOur approx. 50 swimmers are partitioned into three groups for training. The children are allocated to groups based on technical and physical skills. Our team structure is tailored for swimming education and training of kids and youth swimmers. Usually children are promoted from the swimming schools Röteli or Reussfisch to group 3. After they learned the basics they start to improve backstroke and crawl with us. It is also possible to enter into group 2 or even into group 1 directly. Children of the right age and with enough swimming skills may ask to join one of these groups directly. Ask for a trial lesson.
Group 3 (Beginners)Our youngest swimmers swim in group 3. It's a direct follow-up of the swimming schools Röteli or Reussfisch. In group 3 we teach the kids to enjoy the
element water and the swimming basics with focus on backstroke and
crawl.
Group 2 (Youth)Our youth swimmers form group 2. Promotion from group 3 happens as soon
as the swimmers have sufficient backstroke and crawl skills. We add
breaststroke to the program and also try to introduce the basics of fly.
Swimmers of this group get about 5 opportunities per year to swim
competitions.

Gruppe 1 (Competition)Group 1 is our competition team. Young swimmers usually join us comming
from group 2 as soon as they swim well enough crawl, backstroke and breststroke.
Group 1 offers 4 lessons a week and we usually do some competition oriented
workouts. The goals are to optimize the 4 swimming strokes and a good physical
condition. Group 1 swimmers with a "Lizenz A" of the
Swiss Swimming Federation get to start at about 10
competitions per year and
some even make it to Swiss championships.

Events and HolidaysDuring holidays we usually offer a reduced set of trainings lessons. The Monday, Wednesday and Friday lessons of group 1 are usually open for swimmers of all groups. Check the calendar page for details about exceptions (e.g. Christmas). Events coliding with trainings lessons usually lead to a cancelation of the training.
